Serving as camp manager is one of the greatest ministry opportunities there is. You essentially get to serve and assist in the ministry efforts of nearly 60 Christian Churches across Kentucky and Tennessee. Just like every church is a little different so is nearly every day and week at camp. If you enjoy variety and not doing the same thing day in and day out then camp ministry might be for you. If you enjoy working with your hands in preparing facilities to be the best they can be for our churches then camp ministry might be for you. If you enjoy sharing with people of every age and every background imaginable from small to large congregations then camp ministry might be for you. If you have a servant heart that is at times willing to lead others then camp ministry might be for you.  

A person who truly understands and loves camp ministry never works a day in his life yet is available and serving 24/7. A person who truly understands and loves camp ministry enjoys the peace and quiet in between groups and still looks forward to the throngs of people that show up all at the same time. A person who truly understands and loves camp gives their best each and every day because they know how impactful and important church camp is. 

The one best suited for camp ministry understands and appreciates youth ministry while also understanding and appreciating ministry to men, women and seniors. Church camp is for everyone but not everyone has what it takes to serve as camp manager. Days can be very long, people can be very demanding, the weather can be very hot, the volunteers can be very needy, the campers can be very many and are always needing to be fed, the staff can be very trying, the toilets often overflow and the floors are often in need of cleaning. But for those that truly understand and love camp ministry there is no greater opportunity to serve.

A love for the gospel and the Lord Jesus Christ is a requirement. A commitment to the restoration Christian Church is a must. The ability to envision how to make camp better for the next generation is really needed. An incredible work ethic beyond that of most is so very important to be a really good camp manager.
